Our subconsciousness, influenced by stereotypes,
creates mental images.
We all have a picture of “Dream Land America” in
our mind,
which is made by movies, postcards, magazines
and all media.
I have photographed high-spots during the road-trip
along West side of USA, using analogue 6×6 camera,
set on out-of-focus.
Experience we get by observing, reading, touching,
smelling gets, “written” to memories, so visual
consciousness doesn’t need sharpness to recognize
the object anymore.
Blurry postcards are made in the places which are
reflected as most representative country’s image
by USA itself.
